Summit Foundation Zone a Smashing Success

The 2025 USTA Texas Summit, held in Georgetown, brought together players, coaches, and volunteers from across the state for a weekend of learning and connection. As part of the event, the Foundation Zone offered an engaging way for attendees to experience the mission of the USTA Texas Tennis Foundation. Through interactive activities, a silent auction, and a donor campaign, participants helped raise more than $12,000 to support scholarships, grants, and statewide programming.

An Engaging Experience for Attendees

The Foundation Zone featured a traveling tennis court, where participants could test their aim in a “Hit the Target” challenge to win gift cards from Target, as well as goodies from event supporters Tennis Express, and Tennis Warehouse. The Zone also included a donation campaign, which rewarded top donors with a designer tote bag generously donated by Le Courte.

Silent Auction Success

A highlight of the Zone was the silent auction, which featured everything from weekend getaways and wine experiences to premium sports gear and signed memorabilia. Among the many generous contributors were Trafford Watch Co., Omni Barton Creek, ATX Open, Horseshoe Bay Resort, and Nexus Signature Communities—just a few of the supporters who helped make the auction a success.

Impact Beyond the Summit

Thanks to the generosity of Summit attendees, the Foundation Zone will directly support scholarships, grants, and statewide programming that bring the Foundation’s mission to life. Beyond the dollars raised, the event helped shine a spotlight on the impact our community makes together—expanding opportunities for youth and strengthening tennis across Texas.

Special thanks to USTA Texas Tennis Foundation Committee members Sara White, Kim Fox, Cheryl Hultquist, Natalie Malnor, Phillippa Nierling, and Adam Yust who played an instrumental role in curating the Foundation Zone at the USTA Texas Tennis Summit. After months of preparation, their work culminated in an engaging, immersive experience that showcased the mission of the USTA Texas Tennis Foundation. The committee is dedicated to raising funds and building awareness for the Foundation’s scholarships, grants, and programs.
