The mission of the USTA Texas Tennis Foundation is to change lives and build communities through tennis and educational opportunities. Whether through our scholarships or grants, we encourage applicants to learn about our opportunities and apply.
APPLY TO SCHOLARSHIPS
The USTA Texas Tennis Foundation offers a variety of academic scholarships for higher education.
Before beginning your application, we encourage you to review the required materials below and gather all documents in advance.

Application Materials:

A completed online application

Parent or guardian’s most recent Federal Income Tax Return (the same information submitted to the IRS)

SAT or ACT scores (optional)

One letter of recommendation
-
A list of extracurricular activities, including tennis participation and community service

A personal statement outlining educational expectations and career goals
-
A recent photograph/image of the applicant

USTA Texas Tennis Foundation scholarship applications open on January 1st and close on May 1st. Applications are reviewed and notifications are usually sent in the next month.
Scholarships are paid by semester and are awarded for the subsequent academic year.

The USTA Texas Tennis Foundation believes that tennis can play a vital role in teaching our children fundamental values like a strong work ethic, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. We proudly support Texas tennis players through our Grants program.

The Competitive Junior Player Travel Assistance Fund provides grants to help defray the cost of travel for junior competitive players of need to USTA National and/or ITF scheduled events occurring in the United States.
